Ol' Man Winter

Well, the geese flew the coop just in time. Monday it looked like snow, by Tuesday morning there was a skiff of white, Wednesday and Thursday it basically snowed all day. It dipped to -18 C overnight; currently sitting at a balmy -21C.  We now have approximately six to eight inches of the fluffy white stuff... I think it's safe to say winter has arrived...

It's winter time in Canada
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At twenty-five below.
Oh, how I love Canada
When the snows up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave Canada
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground.

  1. Thanks, I thought it was cute. I took the photo, but the poem is not mine.
