Jane's Jewels Is One!

One year ago today Jane's Jewels was born!

I just want to say how much I appreciate everyone who stops by:
~ YOU make my day ~

The above picture is from that fateful first post (now no peeking!).
As part of today's celebrations, I am holding a caption contest.
What is Misses Meowmix thinking/writing/reading/muttering to herself?

I plan to post this picture and the winning caption along my sidebar :)
As well, please share what post or topic from the past year was your favorite.
I'd love to know!

This was mine!
Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

  1. I always like your photography - especially photos that seem to show a 'hidden picture or design' within - using your imagination.

  2. hehehe...I just realized that my comment could be taken as refering to your self-photo in your house coat! I actually didn't mean to do that but now that it is done - it was a perfect comment.
    ...From your not-so-perfect husband xo

  3. Congratz on the one year!

For a caption I will throw this out there: "One dozen mice... add to cart... checkout."

As far as post goes - I agree with the above. It is always intriguing to see what you find in nature to take photos of. If I had to pick one post though... since I love humor, it would have to be the "innocent" chalk drawings. I still chuckle over that one.

  4. Happy 1 Year Anniversary of wonderful blogging.!

Caption for picture..... Humm...World Cat News for all the Mews"

Every post you make is so packed with wonderful sights and information. I liked cooking with Mireille very much when you were doing that series.

Also, following Emma from infant to now a young lady has been fun. She is now a sweet companion to have in your lives.

The pictures of the great outdoors are so beautiful and makes one thankful for the sights and sounds of nature.

Keep up the great work Jane, your bring beauty and fun to everyone that stops by this blog. Its all your creation and its beautiful.

I'm sure I speak for all your faithful followers and the lurkers (you know who your are) we salute you for the fine job.

  5. Happy Birthday Janes Jewels!

I just recently started following your blog but I have skimmed through over the past couple of days and would have to agree that your photos are very capturing and inspiring.

As far as kitty kaptions go : Come on gimme my stat counter already! ;)

Make your day a great one!

  6. I love your posts about inspiring older adults. Always find there stories and vigor encouraging. As for a caption...

"learning to use a mouse as more than a chew toy"

Happy Anniversary... do you have any celebratory plans?

    Much love =^.^=

  7. Happy One Year!

I love your photos, and all the lovely things you share with us.

  8. Happy 1st Anniversary!
I can't tell you how much I look forward to reading your blog. I find it inspiring and relaxing at the same time. Your photos are beautiful!

  9. Happy Blogoversary! I think the cat is saying "With my superb stock portfolio, I am the 1% -- deal with it."

  10. Hi everyone, Wow, I am both humbled and tickled pink by all of your comments :) I particularly appreciate hearing how many of you enjoy my photos - it's definitely become a passion of mine.

As for the caption contest submissions - LOVE them!! I lol'd throughout the day as they arrived. I'll put up the winning one on Saturday.

    Thanks again!

  11. Happy Blogoversary, Jane! I'm so glad you are a part of the blog world, and that I've found your site. I have a feeling that the cat is hanging around Facebook and writing something interesting, or looking at something interesting, but it's been a long day already, and the part of my brain that comes up with quirky stuff seems to be in snooze mode ^..^

  12. Thanks Martha :) Misses Meowmix was actually my Facebook name until I opted out this summer.

Thanks for stopping by - and leaving your comments! I love reading them :)
