Happy Leap Day!
The night before last we watched the movie Rain Man. It's hard to believe it was released in 1988; and that's probably when I'd last seen it. It caused me to reflect, at length, on what an amazing instrument the human brain is - if only we knew how to tap it's full potential.
I chose the image of a wolf for today's post because I thought I'd share a dream I had this past weekend, which perfectly illustrates the beauty of the mind and dream language. For me, the wolf symbolizes that mysterious world we enter every night.
In my dream I'm in a body of water that I know is very familiar to me - I sense I've been here many times before. The water around me is swirling and churning, and I can't see beneath the surface. I put my arm in up to my shoulder and feel around for something. Time passes and with it a great sense of frustration begins to grow; I know that whatever it is I'm looking for IS there, but for some reason, I can't grasp it...
