Winter Returns

Winter came down to our home one night
Quietly pirouetting in on silvery-toed
slippers of snow,
And we, we were children once again.
~Bill Morgan Jr. ~

It snowed overnight...
with all the mild weather we've been experiencing,
I'd almost forgotten it's winter!

There's a ragged, haunting beauty to this season.

It's hard at times,

but if you take a moment

to look past the stark barrenness,

you'll see it :)

With us also is the snow from yesterday. You made a very interesting picture with snow. Yours.

  3. Beautiful photos, Jane. Even though winter is cold and harsh, there truly is a gorgeous side to it. Winter finally arrived here, too. We have a lot of snow, and it's COLD! I don't count sheep to try to go to sleep at night, I count days till spring :)

  4. I feel the same way, it has been so mild. I thought I would never have to wear my heavy winter coat. But at last the cold winds blew and old man winter let us know he was not done with us.
Have a great week a head,
    Lisa

  11. Thanks again everyone for your complimentary words. I love trying my hand at photography.

Elizabeth, lol!! We are in a deep freeze now (-27C as I type) - we've been spoiled so far this winter and now we're really paying for it :)
