Eye See You...

Yesterday, Kay posted about her proclivity to see faces in many of the objects around her; a loaf of bread with a lion face, a smiling rock... She's inspired me to admit I also suffer from the same condition known as Pareidolia and have the pictures to prove it!

Do you see faces in the above two trees? I took these pics last summer,
but truth is that everywhere I go I feel eyes on me...

Coming back from a walk last spring, I spotted this moose on the sidewalk.
We'd walked on a few feet past him when something told me to turn around and take a closer look.
There he was, eyes and all! JJ Hubby confirms he was tampered with in no way.

Watching tv while mindlessly pouring oil into my skillet this past September,
I looked down and imagine my surprise - a dolphin!
At the time, I felt a bit silly taking a pic, but now I'm glad I did.
The proof is in the frying-pan.

I'm willing to bet that just about anyone reading this has had the same experience.
If you have the pics, I'd love you to post them... !

I also stole this from Kay :)

  1. I remember as a child how we would pick out things in the clouds. I like to think it's the inter child in us.

  3. I love the tree faces and the "oily" dolphin!
That first tree photo reminds me of the talking apple trees in "The Wizard of Oz", I loved that movie but it scared me silly!
I have some good photos of faces in trees but I have people posed in front of them, so I can't put them on my blog.
So happy that you did this post today! :-) There, you know I had to make a smiling face for you!! I really am this corny (people say cheesy now, like cheese is something bad!)
    Love,

  4. That video is hilarious! I have a toast stamp of the Virgin Mary that you press into the bread before you toast it so that her image appears once it's toasted. Does that count?

    1. Lol, you just reminded me that Sheldon on Big Bang Theory has a toaster that imprints Darth Vader on his toast!

  5. We're all in this together, it seems. I suffer happily with the same thing, and having fun with it. Love the moose in the sidewalk and the dolphin in the pan!

    1. I think it's a pretty common condition, but one I don't mind suffering from! Keeps us young :)

    3. I know; it's weird because it doesn't happen on every blog. I think it'll straighten out eventually. In the meantime, at least I can comment on your posts, and that's great!

  6. Haha, thanks for the 'wastebook' comment on my blog. And like you, I see faces all around me. Sorta like hearing voices:) and that you take pictures for proof! But most of all I LOVE your header picture Jane. I could walk through there and get lost so easily...

So now I'd like to pick your brain a little for some much needed blog rehab lessons...aka HELP! When you have a little time, could you email me? exesnohs@hotmail.com Thanks in advance:)

  13. Jane-the Jesus toast you tube is too funny! I was so tempted to post the Halloween photo of my son this past year, wearing a Jesus robe. He has grown a beard and grew his hair and he does have the Jesus look. So Mediterranean/Middle Eastern look!
Keep those photos, and you-tubes coming, love them all:DDD

  14. Yes, I can see the moose alright. Considering it was thawing, you passed that way just in time to see it. Amazing how we clue into things that no one else would likely see. However, when we point it out, there, they can now see it too.
