“What will you do when faced with two choices?
Simply toss a coin...
It works not because it settles the question for you,
But because in that brief moment when the coin is in the air...
You suddenly know what you’re hoping for...”
What really matters? We often don't know until we are faced with a decision or a life changing event. I've been stumbling again on StumbleUpon and fell in LOVE this story :)
The side of an abandoned house in New Orleans has been turned into a giant chalkboard where residents can write on the wall and remember what is important to them. Stenciled with the sentence “Before I die I want to _______”, the wall has became a space where people can record their hopes and dreams. It's also transformed a neglected space into a constructive one.
Before I die...
... I'd like to start my own business
... write a book
What a good use for an otherwise useless wall.
ReplyDeleteHumm...Before I Die I Want To......read more good books, travel my own country and know that all my family are happy and doing well.
What a great idea. Before I Die I Want To....be happy.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome wall! I love when rundown and seemingly wasted space becomes inspiring and arty.
ReplyDeleteBefore I Die I Want To...do all I can to make sure my children turn into happy and content adults.
Very interesting concept for a wall. When one really thinks about this question, it truly makes you wonder "what it is that you really want do want" before that final day.
ReplyDeleteI think I would simply want a long and healthy life.
(I think I could achieve most of my "wants" if I had this 'most basic' need)

Great thoughts everyone. Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool! There must be a lot of interesting things written down.
ReplyDeleteBefore I die...I'd like to see the world (or as much of it as possible!)
Before I die... I want to really live.
ReplyDeleteMartha, I'd like to travel as well :)
ReplyDeleteWebDebris, Well said.
