Your Monday Mews

I trust your weekend was good. On Saturday afternoon my daughter and I went to the annual craft show at the Butterdome (officially the Universaide Pavillion). It's a mammoth of a building and there were hundreds of booths inside displaying their wares. Most inspiring - that is, when I wasn't feeling completely inadequate..!

The Butterdome

These were nice - very multi-layered
The artist demonstrated her amazing skill with pastels.
I have tried my hand at pastels and they are a difficult medium to master.
This was a huge booth, a lot of the jewelley is painted on mother of pearl.
One of my favorite booths was The Family Jewels,
rings & bracelets made with antique silver spoons

These were gorgeous
Beeswax candles
Not the greatest shot - there were so many people you had to snap quick!

Sunday was a whole other ball of wax (sorry, couldn't resist :). It snowed and blowed all day. I really wanted to go for a walk and kept my nose pressed to the window hoping for a break in the weather, but it was not to be. By the time the wind had begun to die down, it was getting to be dusk. I did laundry and we got the tree down from the attic and set up to decorate over the week.
