The Magical Mystery Garden Tour

“The Secret Garden was what Mary called it when she was thinking of it. She liked the name, and she liked still more the feeling that when its beautiful old walls shut her in no one knew where she was. It seemed almost like being shut out of the world in some fairy place.”
―Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden

“And the secret garden bloomed and bloomed and every morning revealed new miracles.”
― Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden

"Of course there must be lots of Magic in the world," he said wisely one day, "but people don't know what it is like or how to make it. Perhaps the beginning is just to say nice things are going to happen until you make them happen. I am going to try and experiment.”
― Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden

“If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden.”
― Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden

  2. '...and every morning revealed new miracles.' This is how I feel each morning when I look around our garden. This is such a lovely time of year as you can almost see the plants growing right before your eyes. Beautiful pictures, Jane, and the accompanying text makes for a perfect post.

  3. Very whimsical and lovely,Jane. Great photos and I am crazy about the little bunny. I am trying to buy a house with a decent sized garden, in the hope that my killer paws will turn over a new leaf and I'll finally be able to grow things instead of killing them.

  8. Beautiful, Jane! And lovely images. This was such a magical post. I particularly like the last line: “If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden.” It absolutely is. Looks like you're blooming away over there. That columbine in your header is stunning. don't you just love those plants? I hope that bunny isn't eating your plants....[snort]...:)
