Boy...hmmm, I need to work on making a list, before I go to the grocery store. In thinking about this clip, I realized that I make a list for things I need, but tend to shop for wants. I bet I could save quite a bit if I'd stick to a list. Thinkin I need to work on this...
I wonder if certain manufacturers pay big kickbacks to the supermarket chains to have their products placed at the all-important eye-level position on the shelves? Would not surprise me in the least.
Hi Lorene, I think the point he made about not shopping on an empty stomach makes a lot of sense. It's been my experience that everything looks good when you're hungry!

ReplyDeleteHi Debra, It wouldn't surprise me either, in fact if I'd bet on it.
DeleteThat was a good clip and good tips to avoid the pitfalls in the supermarket.
ReplyDeleteShopping with your list in hand does stop impulse purchases during your shopping trip.
Promise yourself to stick to your list BEFORE you actually enter the store.
