November Lives Up To Her Reputation

"November comes
And November goes,
With the last red berries
And the first white snows.

With night coming early,
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.

The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring."
- Elizabeth Coatsworth

How's it looking where you are?

  2. I have the same poem on my blog today. You know what they say...great minds and all that... :)

You have snow?? Nooooo.... We haven't seen the sun for a few days, but there's no snow yet. I don't want it arriving so soon!!

  3. Loved the poem. The only white stuff we have is fields of white cotton that hasn't been picked yet!

  4. U nas śnieg wczoraj zniknął, na szczęście i wcale nie czekam na jego powrót. Pierwsze zdjęcie śliczne. Pozdrawiam.
In our last snow disappeared, thankfully, and did not wait for his return. The first picture beautiful. Yours.

  7. Are you snowed in? We're having lots of rain interspersed with driving hailstones and howling winds. Good time to be snuggled up indoors!

  11. Oh no! You have snow! Keep it there please. Oh wait maybe that would be preferable to the neverending rain we've had for over a week. I'll have to think about it jane. I am so pleased that you are posting again. Great photo and loved the poem! I truly hope that your sore arm is feeling better.

  12. Hi Jane, welcome back to blogging! I tried to comment on your blog last week, and I just received a 'weird' message...thought it was my computer; Wow, you got all that snow already? For us here in S. Florida we had a huge storm, horrific beach erosion; but nothing compares to what they went through in the N.E. part of our country in N.Y. and New Jersey!
Glad to have you back, hope your hand is much better by now:)
