A Belated Canada Day & A Happy 4th of July

A very happy 4th of July to all my American neighbors! I took the above pics two years ago on a luncheon cruise through the Thousand Islands in our shared waterway, the St. Lawrence.

Did you know it's also 'Country Music Day'While I am not a big fan of country music per se, I do have a few favourites within the genre. Here's one I fondly remember from the era of vinyl and dusty needles.

  1. I never really think about country music, but now I realise that I like quite a bit of it! How sharp are their shiny suits?

  2. Belated Happy Canada Day Jane!

I'm not really into country music either but had the best time at a bluegrass concert once - I was quite surprised!

  3. I'm not a huge fan of country music, but there are some songs that I love. Shania Twain, for example, is considered a country music singer, and I LOVE her music.

What a lovely image of the cruise ship. We've been in Kingston for three years, which is a hop, skip and jump away from these cruises, and STILL haven't gone on one. Hopefully before this summer ends!!

  4. I loved that song when I was a kid and I love it now! One of the all-time great hurtin' songs!

  5. I am with everyone else on country music as a whole. I do like the old bluegrass and hillbilly country though.

  6. Thank you! I actually like a great deal of country music. But I don't listen to it very often.
