Snug As a Bug

Here's your Tuesday chuckle!
This is me last night, just as I headed outside to shovel. It was -14C.
Let's see: skidoo boots, snow pants, down-filled parka, hood, face mask, Hot Paws mitts :)

I don't know about you, but I'd rather start out slightly overdressed and peel back layers
as necessary - as it turned out, I only pulled back the hood.

I'm not saying I did or I didn't, but a shovel full may or may not have landed on Dan's van...!!

How do you gift wrap a cat?

Very carefully...

  1. Ha ha, well if he will leave his van there....but are you sure you were shovelling snow, and not preparing for a bank raid?
What an obliging cat! It really made me laugh.

    1. After I'd uploaded this pic last night, I was kind of thinking the same thing - I guess I do look a little intimidating!!

  2. Awesome...kind of reminds me of Randy in A Christmas Story, except you can put your arms down!! And, I'm pretty jealous...it's so warm here it's uncomfortable. There is no good was to dress. I just want it to snow!!

    1. I hadn't realized how truly ridiculous I looked, until I uploaded this pic. My husband often razzes me about my get-ups, now I see why!

  5. Hahaha...poor Dan. Maybe he'll get the message.

Love the warm clothing! Especially the face mask. The older I get the more layers I need.

-14? Eeeeeeek... That is scary. Our weather is warm today. It's already at 10C and will go as high as 13 this afternoon. What you doing there, girl, freezing your buns off? Come over to Kingston!

    1. I wish he would! He parked in his own drive for a few days after my post, which was quite ironic - but he's back on the street again. I sure wish we were getting your weather - it's practically balmy by comparison. Wasn't that cat good-natured?

  9. My first thought was Eskimo Assassin! Wow so much snow already! I think New Zealand just had the first day of spring on Friday? There would be a nice place to spend winter. :)

  10. ooh, loving the shoveling outfit, so stylish, you're a true shoveling fashion icon :) It's started snowing here in my part of the world this evening, but not enough for shoveling action.

    1. Yes, seeing as you are from Serbia, I would assume you are well acquainted with winter outerwear :)

    2. Serbia and Siberia are not the same place :PPP

But being a continental country we do have subzero temperatures during winter. Last year was a record breaking one since we had down to -25*C :) but we also had up to 45*C during summer.

    3. Wow, that's quite the temperature range!

  12. Wyglądasz zabawnie, ale to nie ważne. Ważne, że było Ci ciepło. Na filmiku był bardzo cierpliwy kotek. Pozdrawiam.
You look funny, but it's not important. It is important that you be warm. In the video was very patient cat. Yours.

  14. LOL at the "accidentally" placed snow on Dan's van. We sympathize. We have one that does that. Only with a rather large truck, his name is Brian, he has a very long driveway but parks right in front of our house, on our side of the street. And if we or someone else were to park in The Spot, we get glared at.

    1. Lol, that's just what we were laughing about the other day. What if we started parking smack dab in front of Dan's house? I'm certain we'd soon get 'the glare' as well!!

  16. Actually Jane I would know you anywhere.....hee, hee. Really a good disguise you got rigged up there.

The car wrapping video was really good....what a co-operative kitty. I would never ever have been able to do a thing like that to our cat Leo when he was with us.

Keep us entertained, Jane, I can't wait to see what your going to post next....lol
